*UPDATE*

The Coldest Night of the Year event is Home Horizon’s largest fundraiser of the year!

Home Horizon is about hope, it is about rebuilding, it is about providing youth with a safe home to live in where they receive the support needed to help them get back on their feet and move on to independent living. It is about helping to ensure they never face the prospect of being homeless again.

Donations can be received up until March 31st! Visit their website for more info

The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Team up, fundraise, walk, and gather for good.

The event is hosted byHome Horizon, a charitable organization in Collingwood, serving the South Georgian Bay communities.

Home Horizon’s Barbara Weider House is helping guide youth from homelessness to hope. At Home Horizon, they take care of their immediate needs and offer them the chance to change the direction of their lives while offering safe, stable and affordable housing, health and life skills education, mentorship, mental health expertise and individualized support plans for local, at-risk youth. The BWH is the only facility in the community dedicated to serving homeless youth.

Why attend? By walking in the cold, you’ll feel a hint of the challenge faced by those experiencing homelessness during winter. By fundraising, you’ll be contributing much-needed money to a charity in your town that is bringing hope and help to people in your community who need support.
